I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have a friend who was looking to get the expo for an upgrade and he went to 3 different ATT stores and was told that the phone had been discontinued. I doubt we will see any software upgrades for a discontinued fone.
Is the phone still being sold in canada?

Hmm, Well its in stock in 4 different Best buys, and 7 different Future shops in my city.

Seems to be plentiful here.

Wonder if Canada, got overstocked lol.

Though local availibility says nothing about what the manufacturer might be thinking or doing for that matter.

I wouldnt trust a customer service cashier. I found out about the eXpo before my local att cashier. The clerk may have been trying to sell a different phone, pushing you out the door, or maybe talking about not being sold in the public. I just dont trust what theyre saying most of the time.

I have to agree. I went to an AT&T store back in January and a rep asked me what phone was that. I said the LG eXpo. He then asked if that was a t-mobile phone. When I told him it was AT&T he didn't believe me until I showed him the logo. The sales reps are just as clueless as the tech support.A lot of times they are told to push a certain phone and will say anything to get you to buy that phone.

Dark, you are 100% right on this. I have had to tell many AT&T folks that this phone is ONLY available to AT&T Business Customers via AT&T's phone ordering system. You can NOT find it in stores, or on their website.

The communication within this company is horrid. The rumor that this phone is discontinued is just that, a rumor. With LG still showing it on their product page, I would have to lean with the idea that there was a production issue thus causing the delays...

Personally, I am starting to think Telus over ordered phones.

lol I know a long shot, but, the IQ is plentifull here in Canada.

Rep's, Well I expect them to know as much as the cashier at the food store, anything over an above, is a Win, in my experience anyways.

I used to work for the Local carrier when I was young, Yes god darn it, they had phones lol. Anyways, the lack of knowledge is rampant and has not changed much since i was in the mobile service center. (CDMA Analogue)

Ya know that could be the case. But even still, I see more people on Telus in this forum then on AT&T. Even more so the peeps that do have this phone in the states have been getting them from many different sources.

This leads me to wonder how many people actually got the eXpo from AT&T?
