Hi all
I am using LG-GW825V (HK version, official Rom V10d), how to rip the ROM and remove those rubbish pre-installed software and cook myself a clean ROM?

I have been trying the Dragonstorm 23134 flasher but no luck, it says "Necessary Info not found" when it's seem like checking up the phone.

We have a thread about this already. You can read through it here:

http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/re-how-to-flash-your-expoiq/

It seems that the kitchen would need to be completely re-written to do that. As of now, I think you're stuck with the official roms.

Hi there

I have successfully flashed the v10G english rom to my 825v, which is great and thanks
just one thing, the GPS fails and could not start, i noted that in setting->external GPS, Program tab is "GPD7", hardware tab "GPS hardware port" is NONE, no matter which port i select it goes back to none after tapping ok, it's so strange

the GPS worked fine with my  chinese ROM version. you have any idea it's a bug in the V10G or not? any fix to it yet?
Thanks

You could try installing the 825V GPS driver that Dark cabbed up for us. It's attached to the bottom of the second post in his Dragonstorm thread. Here's the link:

http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/dragonstorm-23559-rom/msg4256/#msg4256

Let us know if that helps.

i downloaded and tried the GPS driver but found nothing added to my device, and the setting was still the same, i.e. cannot save setting no matter what port i set

in turn i downloaded the GPSGate and it worked out for me, problem is solved! thanks!

Hey Ken,

Assuming you are not trying to connect an external GPS to your phone, the GPS hardware port should be set at None.

Additionally, some programs may have problems accessing the GPS when the program port is set to GDP 9. Try this simple fix.

a) turn GPS gate off

b) go to settings and change the GPS program port to Com4

c) Try the program you use the GPS with again and see if it connects without GPS gate.
