Hi, I see there are many different rom's in which to flash the expo with.

I also see that Dark is great at doing this, from what I read.

Now, with so many different roms, can someone explain the differences? What is included, what is not?

I have the expo also with windows 6.5.

I am looking to be able to get rid of all the atnt stuff/crap/bloatware and all of it's online links to connect to which I would never use.

I am wanting to keep or reinstall all my spb apps, weather, shell, suite, plus, the puzzles, regedit, clear temp and facebook.

Which would be the best rom in order to accomplish this?

Thanks... Smiley

differences are in the thread.

Is it?... two of the rom versions are nearly identical. Even I got confused!

I know the 21901 build is the one with the taskbar back at the top and the 23563 build is the original first rom with the taskbar at the bottom (I'm running that one). In researching I found that 23568 build is the same as the 23563 build with a very few updated WM apps, other than that there should be no difference. Am I right?

I've been asked a lot: "What is the best rom to install?"... even I'm having a hard time answering that as I'm not sure what the real difference is especially when it comes to build 23563 and 23568.

Anyone care to explain it....please?

I am by no means an expert on roms. I have, however, been running Dark's roms on my Incite since 23047. "To esplain, no there is too much, to sum up . . ." The difference in the number on the roms is due to different builds "released" by Micro$oft. They are continually making minor changes and releasing new builds. Dark, as well as other chefs, will have his own ideas on what to include with the Windows build to create a usable rom. Some builds will not be as compatible with eXpo hardware and drivers as other builds and will therefore make less stable roms. As for which rom is best, that will most likely be a matter of preference, as different people use their device in different ways. If you have a fast, clean and stable rom installed, you may not need to update to a newer build as you might not get any benefit from what M$ has changed. My experience with Dark is that he will post what changes he has found between builds. You still must decide if it is worth the time to flash to the latest version.

Someone knowledgeable should create a release history or changelog so it can be attached to the the ROM thread. Probably would prove to be very useful to many from the sounds of it...

The changes between 23563 and 23568 are listed in the second post of my rom thread. Nothing has really changed in the builds other than any tweaks that I made between the two builds.
