I vote no for LG Idles, LG alarm. Have G-alarm instead. We dont need much from LG, mainly fingerprint sensor, radio, camera, and settings
I think we should work as clean as possible, then we can install things in

Windows Mobile all the way
How would you be naming this rom? It is for everyone.
My input "Windows Mobile Presentation PC" (PPC) 6.5 lack of there of.

Haven't decided yet. I'm open to suggestions. Just an update for those wondering. Spocky hasn't gotten back to me yet. He was on earlier today so he probably got my message and the link to the base rom.

Considering our phones are centered around the Snapdragon processor could also use things like Dragon, Fire, Bahamut, Wyvern, Hydra, Fatalis etc.  Found a pretty long list of cool mythical dragons here also http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/dragons.htm

Is it possible to keep the LG multitasking program. I really use that a lot.

I think I found that's a great idea. I'm going to pick one from the list. Thanks for the input.

If you go with the Dragon theme, Disney had a movie called Dragon Slayer.  Ther was a scene where it reared back and blasted into the camera with flames.  Now that would be a cool start up animation.   LOL.

But in short, I like the Roar idea.

My vote and thought is this:

Lose the LG UI, totally and completely. Bare-bones it. Keep nothing at ALL from LG.

BUT (before you all get upset - I love the dialer too!)  create a thread for all the extracted apps that came with in individual CABs so folks can simply pick and choose what they want to put back in. (Idea comes from some of the XDA threads I haunt for my old Tilt.)

What do you all think??

I think the dialer is a necessity as it appears to be the only thing that works with the proximity sensor although I've noticed sometimes the phone wakes up by itself to S2U2 when I pull my phone out of my pocket.  Maybe proximity sensor related also?

Thats odd Ghostface, which S2U2 version are you using?

I use it myself, and have never seen it do something like that, I carry my phone in a slip case of sorts and I would see it immediately if it was awake when slid out.

I might play with the settings some bro, something gone wonky on you.

There are some cool apps in the LG bundle, however, they should be made as separate apps to install later. Aim for a slick fast clean WMo!!

My vote goes 'no'. The only thing I like is the LG dialer and mostly to the fact it works with proximity sensor, so when you pull your phone away from your face it is ready to take input. Not sure if other dialers including WinMo built-in one can work with the proximity sensor. Not sure if Bluetooth software is LG made (feels not), but I like it. Compared to X1's BT support it is LIGHTYEARS ahead!

I am so looking forward to a custom ROM where we can use newer and faster/more memory efficient MS builds like 21898 for example.
