I do have the tweaker program but I dont think I used it this time around in my latest hard reset a week ago I may have gone into the newest one and by mistake reverted the NET back. I'll keep everyone posted if it happens again.
One thing I forgot to mention was I did have a spontaneous soft reset about 3 days ago..I was thinking it was to do with a program I had tried out, not sure if there is any connection..I have not had it happen again.

Loaded Net 3.5 with no problems with Media Net. Not sure what else you have on there that may have caused the conflict though.
Good Luck

Big time newbie here, Was trying to load the IQ/Tweaker to my EXPO. I have followed all the steps until I got here. I have clicked on the CT810 and then chosen to run it. It just brings up a window with three things inside. One says setup, should I choose that? Will it automatically load onto my expo through active sync? Sorry, this is all new to me and never had a Windows mobile phone. Also how to I go about finding the reg edit keys? what path should I follow? Thanks in advance!

OK, I have a registry editor program so I can now go in and look. I see that the 3.5 is there along with the 2.0. The 2.0 has the number "1" next to it. To get the 3.5 .netcompact framework as the default, is it as easy at placing the 1 there and placing a 0 nex to the old one (2.0) Thanks

Freckles,
Have you run cgacutil from the windows folder on your phone? it will show you which version of Net Framework is running. I don't think you can remove 2.0 but you want to make sure the 3.5 is now the default. It's been such an long time since I did this but after I loaded the Mortscript and the CT810 and ran them I had no problems and the cgacutil program shows
Microsoft (R) .NET Compact Framework [3.5.7283.0, 2.0.7045.0]
Don't know what else to tell you other than give it another try step by step from the first post.
Good Luck

Hello Dark, I am trying to install .net 3.5 and am having trouble. Are there very detailed instructions somewhere? I tried to follow what you have here as closely as possible but the order in which to do everything is not working for me. Much appreciated.

I have a bit of a silly question.
I was looking at the version of the CF version on my phone and it's already 3.5 Or at least by looking at the registry it has BOTh 2.0 and 3.5.9198
Can I just delete the registry for 2.0 to leave the 3.5 as the default?

Hey Stryker, That’s not a silly question. If you are running the base rom (OEM) then it came with .net2.0, you can't really delete it (other than in the registry). If you installed .net3.5 afterwards or some application installed it then the only thing to check is that it's default to .net3.5 (you can use my Tweaker app if you don't want to play in the registry). Simply deleting it out of the registry won't do much as the libraries would still be on the device and as far as I know you can't remove base rom libraries (.dll's)... correct me if I'm wrong here guys

If you already have Tweaker installed and it works, simply use it to default to .net3.5 That section of Tweaker was copied off the ct180 tweak. This is assuming you installed .net3.5 before trying to default to it. Hope it helps.
