I noticed that quite a few options are missing from sounds and notifications. Personally I like having these options so I can set custom mms, sms, and voicemail tones. I created a cab that will restore the options. It is attached to this post.

Thank you for this .cab!  Seriously, spent hours looking for the options and this did exactly what I needed it to do.

No problem. I don't know why this was removed. You would think this would be something important for users. I know in the leaked builds they cleaned this up a bit, but that was a little too much.

On the S-class UI you will see a an alarm clock icon next to the time. Click it. Choose new alarm and then more. You will see an option called alarm bell. You can choose your alarm tone from there. However, you don't get as many options as if it was set through the windows UI.

No problem. I still don't know why LG removed those settings.

Thank you Dark! Worked like a charm on my eXpo. The annoying ''Message sent'' is gone :-) Next up is to get rid of the '' Connecting to 3G....''

The cab is just registry entries. The only way that it could of changed is if you somehow deleted the registries or reverted back to a point before the cab was installed. Re-installing the cab should fix that.

Also, if you installed the new version of Woodhole's Tweaker, he mentions that you will need to re-enable this in the Tweaker options.

man i was looking for this i thought it was crazy that you had to use lgs little notification app and could only pick between their sms alerts. i actually ended up renaming the one i wanted to use to one that they listed and replacing the file to get it to use the sms tone i wanted

I installed the Cab, although the options are there.. they don't seem to really do what they are supposed to. I changed outbound text messages to not have a msg or a sound notification.. but both remain.

Do you have an IQ? If so then the LG Idles UI is controlling it and needs to be deactivated. There is a tweak in Woodhole's tweaker program to do this. Here is the link:
