Is it only me who has this problem or is this the way this phone is: The finger print scanner seems to be "asleep" and does not respond to touch for a while; once it "wakes-up" it works fine. This behaviour if only for navigation, no issue with unlocking the phone.

Wondering if some registry tweak could fix it - haven't found any reports or solutions on this issue so far.

Thanks.

Yeah that happens. It was talked about a while back, but I think it was when unlocking the phone. It was discovered that by pressing the fingerprint scanner will wake it. Pressing the power/lock button will wake it too.

You could shut off the finger print scanner lock and go back to the stock WM lock.

Old numerical lock is under settings, though you probably have to turn off the finger print scanner lock in LG's Idles options first.

I don't know about replacing the fingerprint lock program since this is the only phone to have such a feature, but it is possible to replace the alarm. I use g-alarm and the alarm screen pops up over the lock screen so it is possible to turn it off or hit snooze when the phone is still locked. You can find the app at the following post.
