ok im pretty new to this phone just got it 2 weeks ago. but ive been trying and trying to get igo to work but cant. i tried copying that sys.txt into my mine but it didnt help. ive tried just about everthing ive seen in this thread.
do i have to run the a-gps disable? or do i have to have that gpsgate?
id really like to get this working so if anyone could help it would be great.
on a side note ive also tried navigon and iguidance and both have the same issue, cant connect to gps receiver.
and just to make sure, the com port you guys are setting to 4 is in the programe port? not the hardware?

thanks

i used Franson_GpsGate_v2.6.0.321 it worked like a charm.  it creates a virtual GPS port that programs can recognize like TomTom and Garmin and many others.  i wouldnt even bother with a A-GPS disable.  all you have to do in ur gps program of choice is set the franson virtual gps port number that the program creates and your good to go.  i am using TomTom and also Google maps.  i love the combination.

If you go to the following post there is a cab attached called GW825v's GPS Driver. It contains the GPS driver for the Hong Kong version of our phone and a control panel to turn AGPS on and off. The GPS driver on our phone is horrible, but the one for the GW825v works great. The control panel to turn AGPS on and off will appear in start menu>settings>systems settings. It will be called GPS Settings.

Using that newer cab for the GPS as Dark Mentions is worth it, much faster gps locking.

After much searching
iGO 8 sys.txt on LG Expo

[gps]
gps_internal="1"
gps_protocol="NMEA"
source="virtserial"

I do not need to wait outside for ten minutes rather than just in and very quickly. Just as iGO8 slow slow starts. Most likely one old TYTN, 38 sec. On the HTC HD2 8,5 sec.
