Hmmm.... interesting problem. In my experience the default xt9 keyboard doesnt pop up when you slide open the keyboard.

Questions:

1) Are you using the default keyboard. If the answer to that question is "I don't know", then you are probably using the default keyboard.

2) Are you using the American, Candian, or Hong Kong version of the Expo?

3) Have you modified any keyboard registry entries?

Regards

Hi there

The one I am using is HK version of EXPO and the official model is LG GW825V, there is a pre-installed input method called CE-Star, the onscreen keyboard is coloured with green and supports chinese input methods.

this green keyboard always jump out when i slide out the hardware keyboard and block the screen. i think it might not be the case for non-chinese versions of EXPO

Yeah the non-chinese versions disable the official soft keyboard in landscape mode.

I'll see if I can dig up some registry settings which may help you.
