Here is a cab that will help to increase the screen sensitivity. If you use it in conjunction with the following post your screen should be much better than out of the box.

I can easily swipe/press lightly with my nail or finger with these tweaks.

I am always unsure if tweaks to do with screen touch work, since there is such a strong tendency to imagine improvement...but I really think this one works!

I am finding it much easier within the messaging app to activate text input. Yeeha.

Thanks Dark

Hey guys, I just got my Expo yesterday.  I love everything about the phone EXEPT one thing.  The screen sensitivity is horrible! I've read that other users complain of the same thing but I want to make sure it's really supposed to be this bad.  I've done the paper clip/toothpick calibration and have installed the cab file with no major change.

I'm coming from an ATT Pure which has the most sensitive screen I've ever used so I'm trying to take that into consideration.  But, I've used countless WM phones and this by far has the worst sensitivity.  If I us my nail only, it works OK but whenever I press with my finger, I either have to press multiple times or I have to press pretty hard to get it to register.

So my question is this:  Will anything likely change if I exchange it for another or is this pretty much your experiences too?  I'd rather just deal with it and not go through the hassel of returning but if I may have a bad unit, it's worth the trouble because otherwise this phone  is near perfect.
Thanks

Hey Wmguy, Welcome to the forum  Wink

The screen is not the best in the world, though with that said, its far from the worst.
Yes, Darks tip with the paperclip/toothpick is a good start, another is getting Woodhole's tweaker program from my signature an checking a couple tweaks in it, and it helps alot, speeds refresh time that screen scans with an subsequently makes it alot easier to use,... Imo.

Give it a try, I have had alot of touch screen phones/pda's and this is not that bad.

Thanks WR.  I was thinking I was gonna return the phone today but I thought I'd wait a bit. I installed the tweaker and I think it helped some.  It's just that the phone is SO dang fast I'm not sure I can give it up.  If I get used to using the edge of my thumb (partly my nail) I think it will work OK.  I'll give it shot for a day or two and see.  I may install SPB MS too and that will help with bigger icons to hit.  We'll see.  Boy, the camera is good too... First phone out of probably 15 that had a flash lol.  I'm used to HTC only.
