Anybody have any magical tips on how to remap (or extend mapping on) certain keys?

For example, the Red End key locks the phone on a long key press.  I would like to be able to remap that long press to toggle vibrate(silent ringer) on/off.  There are ways to do this very easily on an HTC phone.  It would also be cool to dual-purpose the task manager key to have 2 functions (short/long press).

I've dug around in the registry a bit but didn't find anything useful
(HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys has some mapping info but very sparse)

I've also tried AE button plus but it doesn't seem to work even though the settings appear to take.

 Huh  Huh  Huh

I use AEButtonPlus to remap long-press end as well as light-tap camera, which is actually a separate keypress from the full press needed to launch the cam/trigger the shutter. This gives me 3 more options on the camera button (i have single press set to nothing, as the button is too sensitive to random presses)

That's odd...I didn't try any other key besides the "End" key - maybe it has some special reservation on it.  Will try again on some other keys and see what happens...

Yep.  Looks like it works fine for other buttons but no luck with the Red End Key.  I wonder where the setting is that forces it to lock....
