There are many free (and excellent) media converters out there if Active Sync (Windows XP/Vista) or windows mobile device center (Windows 7/Vista) fails to convert your media to run on your phone. Your choices are Always, Prompted (default) and Disabled. If you want to change how you set it up, from the Garmin start panel, choose Tools>Settings>Garmin Online.
