I was not a fan of the default LG soft keyboard.
I decided I preferred my old fav. Instead. I've been using Fingerboard2 for some time on my other device so I figured I'd install it on my IQ. I used SIPChange to override the registry settings so that on soft resets it would retain my keyboard of choice.

The strange thing is some of the built in apps are still using the LG default keyboard and not my preferred one until I manually override it. Has anyone else seen this using other keyboard software?

I've been using Swype over LG's standard XT9 keyboard. Really nice keyboard when texting and when I don't want to pull out the landscape keyboard for those short texts. Takes practices to use it but you get the hang of it.

I agree with you igothacked, Swype is nice. It's currently my 2nd choice and installed as well. Depending what I'm doing I tend to flip between the two. Still trying to get the hang of it. It's probably why I use Fingerboard2 a little more but like all things that could change.

Not to pull up an old post but lately I've been messing around with changing the default colours in my apps... just because I can Wink

Never liked the aqua blue they had for the 'BlackBlue" theme in Fingerboard2 so I changed mine... think I may have over done it with the red enter key though...lol
