I installed SlideIt and it's great for one hand texting, but I still prefer the keyboard, which can't type any symbols without using the default XT9 keyboard. I unchecked the box on SlideIT that automatically sets itself as default, but now the basic windows mobile keyboard is default. I also tried going into the registry and changing the DefaultIM value to XT9's but that didn't work either. As a last resort, I tried installing SIPchanger but that just crashes every time I restart my phone. Has anyone found a program that works?
I've been running SIPChange (to change it to FingerKeyboard2) from day one with the original ROM and never had any problems. I went on to some of Darks ROM's and still not having issues with it. I'd try uninstalling SlideIt to see if the problem goes away and take it from there. I've never tried SlideIt so I can't help you with that part.
