I read about it today and downloaded it too, the UI looks polished, and has tons of channels as well. I was going to try watching some channels, but looks like the network doesn't feel like giving me the bandwidth today. I'll try it over wi-fi and see how well it goes.

watching it over wi-fi now. a couple of thoughts:
1) for some reason the playback stopped around 2 minutes and went back to the channel selection UI. I'm not sure what's wrong
2) even with the phone sitting right next to my wifi router the video paused once or twice. I wonder if it has something to do with the server bandwidth
3) I wonder if there's a way to watch this on my pc
4) pressing the volume up/down buttons on the side of the phone will bring up the volume controls inside SPB TV instead of the volume controls of WinMo (compare to YouTube app), so this is great.
5) a lot of channels, but some categories are notably missing, e.g. more cartoon channels. It would be great if there's a way to add new channels, but since the video is streamed from SPB / Mobilworld Media servers I'm not too optimistic.

now I just need to make a stand for my eXpo

Yeah, its ok, I would not have paid $15 for this myself... However for the price, I can't moan too much about it.(There is a small uproar going on over this app becoming free after many paid for it.)

The channels are weak and the programming is from the 70's it seems, but, its free an works.

Its another time killer alright Cheesy

Thanks for the link, WR.

Interestingly enough, when I followed the link on my phone in Opera Mini, it went to a slightly different page that said "Free TRIAL Download", but when I switched to Opera Mobile, I got the "Free" one. Wonder if there is a hidden expiration in this download......

Uh oh, think SPB may have pulled a "bait and switch" on us here. Just got this email:

"Thank you for downloading SPB TV trial.

To continue using SPB TV after the 15-day trial period, you would need to purchase a serial number from our website: http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/tv/purchase.html?et1

- Instant delivery
- 30-days money-back
- Virus Free applications

After registering your version you can continue using SPB TV without re-installing it.

Thank you for giving SPB TV a try and hope you enjoy using it!

Best regards,

SPB Software Support Team"

Anyone else get this too, or did I maybe download from the wrong page?

Must have ended up on the wrong page somehow. Uninstalled what I had, followed WR's link and re-installed. Hit Menu then About and it now says ''Full Version''.
