Hello Fooko,

I had no idea it did not support other languages.

As it developes more it, they will add support for other languages, i see this being very popular.

Its not a retail program yet, this is taken from the OmniaII.

Sorry you can't use it like it is now.

Swype is a keyboard alternative that allows you to spell works by dragging your finger over the letters rather than pressing the letters. For example if I want to spell hello. I would press and hold h and then drag my finger to e, drag my finger to l, circle back to the l, and drag my finger to the o and let go. It is a pretty good keyboard replacement.

Here is a video tutorial:

One thing i didn't think about earlier is..

Using swype alot, and your going to have a half scratched up screen or screen prtotector.

Your always sliding on the surface, and of course it shows in a day or so on a new screen protector.

I have a friend that just bought the OmniaII, and this is exactly whats happening to his.

With a phone that has a capacitive screen with a glass cover sure,I might use it on continued basis, but with our plastic one, I'm passing.

You make a compelling argument there WR. I never thought of that. If this is the case I'm not going to even bother getting used to using it. Thanks for the info.

It's ok. Sometimes things seem great at first, but we later find out there is a downside. This just happens to be one of those cases.

1) Thanks for the link! - I was looking for the WVGA version and not finding it again.

2) I have been using the QVGA version on my Tilt for about 2 months now and not a scratch (that wasn't there already) - my trick is using my fingernail, not a stylus. First day I installed it, I tried with a stylus, and after about 3 text messages thought, "This is a bad idea. I'm going to carve up my screen this way".  Tried the fingernail method and works better, plus you "glide" easier from letter to letter.

I seen it had said when i read it, that it had improved key sizing I believe.

Though it looked like it needed an extra file or two to make it work?

Myself, I am staying with the H/w Keybord an XT9 peck style in portrait,
just too darn used to it, and don't want to wear my protector down any faster then needed.

Ymmv of course (I wax mine with Mother's, I can see each swipe after using swype lol)
Funny thing is, My friend had to get the swype cab from me, Bell's OmniaII does not come with it oddly like most others do,  Should I feel guilty??

Nah lol  Wink

I'm trying Version 3.9. It isn't bad... but not as great as 2.0 did.
